Start/Finish - The Bike Porch

Looking for a fast-paced group ride? Tuesday Night Worlds is The Bike Porch's premier weekly road ride, offering two pace groups for experienced riders looking to push the pace and sharpen their fitness.

What to Expect

Group 1 – Tempo Pace

Roll Out: 5:45 PM
Average Speed: 17–19 mph

This group maintains a steady, spirited pace and is ideal for riders comfortable with sustained efforts and group riding etiquette.

Group 2 – Fast Pace

Roll Out: 6:00 PM
Average Speed: 21–22 mph

This is a high-speed, performance-oriented ride for strong and experienced cyclists. Expect a fast pace, rotating pacelines, and a challenging workout from start to finish.

Routes

A challenging loop through Bedford County's scenic backroads featuring rolling terrain, punchy climbs, and fast descents. With little flat ground, this route keeps the pace high and rewards strong, steady riding.

Important Information

  • Both groups depart from The Bike Porch.

  • These are not no-drop rides.

  • Regrouping is very limited.

  • Riders should be self-sufficient and capable of maintaining the advertised pace.

  • Helmets are required.

  • Please arrive 10–15 minutes early for announcements and ride preparation.

TBP Wednesday Gravel

Every Wednesday Night from May 6th to October 7th

Start/Finish - North Bedford Church

Join us every Wednesday evening for a fun, social gravel ride through the scenic backroads of Bedford County. Whether you're looking to explore new roads, meet fellow riders, or get in a solid midweek ride, this is one of our favorite weekly traditions.

Location: North Bedford Baptist Church
Roll Out: 5:45 PM

Parking Information

Please park in the parking area furthest from the church building. Wednesday evening services are held during our ride, and we want to be respectful of church members by leaving the closest parking spaces available for them.

What to Expect

This is a social, regrouping ride designed for riders who enjoy great gravel roads and good company. While there are often faster sections and spirited efforts along the route, the group will regroup multiple times throughout the ride to keep everyone together.

Riders should be comfortable maintaining 11–12 mph on rolling country gravel roads.

Routes

We rotate between three different gravel routes, providing plenty of variety throughout the season while showcasing some of the best gravel riding Bedford County has to offer.

Important Information

  • Gravel or all-road bikes are recommended.

  • Helmets are required.

  • Please carry water, nutrition, and basic repair supplies.

  • This ride features regular regroup points throughout the route.

  • Be ready for the group roll-out.

Whether you're new to gravel riding or a seasoned veteran, our Wednesday Gravel Ride offers a welcoming atmosphere, beautiful roads, and a great way to spend a summer evening on two wheels.


Thursday Mountain Bike Ride

Every Thursday, May 7th until October 8th

Join us every Thursday evening at the New London Tech Trails for a fun, laid-back mountain bike meetup.

Meeting Location: New London Tech Trails
Roll Out: 6:00 PM

What to Expect

This is a social ride designed for riders of all ages and abilities. There is no set route, so feel free to split into smaller groups based on pace and experience or join the larger group for a ride around the trail system.

Family Friendly

This ride is kid-friendly and a great opportunity for families and newer riders to enjoy the trails in a welcoming environment.

After the Ride

If there's enough interest, we'll head out for food and drinks after the ride to continue the fun off the bike.

  • Mountain bike required.

  • Helmets are required.

  • No designated route or pace.

  • Riders are encouraged to choose a group that matches their skill level and goals.

  • Arrive a few minutes early and be ready to ride at 6:00 PM.
